I live in a tiny, tiny house. No storage space, and worst of all, no kitchen counter or cupboard space.
I have this built in shelf thingy in the laundry/furnace room that I have been wanting to turn into a pantry for a long time. I wanted to put a door on it, but Marie and Dana looked at it and didn't think it needed a door. Sure, the cans will get dusty, but heck, they do anyway, right?
So today is the day we clean that off and make a pantry out of it.
There are 5 full shelves and one half shelf. They are huge! My roaster and dehydrator fit comfortably on the top shelf, and if I wanted to push them back further I could store stuff in front of them.
Right now the top shelf is the roaster and dehydrator and the bottom (1/2 shelf) is the peaches and tomatoes I canned. I think canned goods will go on the bottom shelves and kitchen gadgets will go on the higher shelves. We will see. The recycle bin is on the floor, under the shelves.
I am almost done with laundry. All day yesterday and all day today. Sheesh my dryer sucks.
I know... exciting stuff happens on the weekends, huh?
